Finding a beautiful place is not enough. What truly matters is making sure that as many people as possible have the opportunity to experience it.
With this idea in mind, we are launching Piemonte Accessibile, a new series on the Heimat blog dedicated to sharing itineraries, experiences and projects that promote a more inclusive way of exploring Piedmont.
Every month, we will feature a route, a destination or an initiative that has inspired us. Our goal is not only to showcase the beauty of the region, but also to highlight the people and organisations working every day to make Piedmont more welcoming and accessible.
These articles are not travel guides created by us. Instead, they are a space where we share and promote experiences developed by public bodies, tourism operators, associations and professionals who share our commitment to accessibility, inclusion and quality hospitality.
We believe that travelling means feeling welcome, regardless of individual needs or abilities.
For this reason, we will always acknowledge the original sources and authors of the itineraries we feature, helping to give visibility to projects that deserve to be discovered.
Over the coming months, we will take you through lakes, mountains, historic villages, art cities, nature trails and many other places that are helping to build a more accessible and inclusive Piedmont.
Enjoy reading, and have a wonderful journey!
