If you are planning a weekend in Turin from 11 to 13 September 2026, one of the city’s main events will be the Turin Auto Show, a major automotive event that will transform the historic city centre into a large open-air exhibition route for three days.

The event will offer free admission and will take place in some of Turin’s most central and scenic locations, including Piazza Castello, the Royal Museums Gardens and the Royal Gardens.

It is therefore a great opportunity not only for car enthusiasts, but also for visitors who want to spend a few days in Turin combining the event with museums, walks, restaurants and sightseeing in the historic centre.

Turin Auto Show 2026: What to Expect

After the first two editions, which attracted more than 500,000 visitors in total, the Turin Auto Show returns in 2026 with over 40 automotive brands already announced.

During the three-day event, visitors will be able to discover new models, previews, sports cars, electric vehicles and cars from some of the world’s leading automotive markets.

Confirmed brands include major Italian names such as Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Lancia, Maserati, Lamborghini, Pininfarina and Italdesign, alongside international manufacturers including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Tesla, Honda, Mazda, Renault, Peugeot, Citroën, Kia, Suzuki, BYD, Geely, Lynk&Co, OMODA JAECOO and Zeekr.

Alongside the car manufacturers, universities, design centres, automotive supply-chain companies, associations and institutions will also take part.

Free Test Drives in the Royal Gardens

One of the most interesting experiences at the Turin Auto Show will once again be the test drives.

From 11 to 13 September, visitors will have the opportunity to test selected vehicles made available by participating brands, free of charge.

Test drives will depart from the Royal Gardens, on Corso San Maurizio, following city routes with official instructors from the different manufacturers.

Brands that have announced their participation in the test-drive programme include BYD, Honda, Kia, Mazda, Tesla, Geely, Lynk&Co and OMODA JAECOO, among others.

Bookings will be managed directly by each brand during the event.

The Torino Automotive Design Award

Turin has a deep connection with the automotive world, not only from an industrial point of view, but also through design and vehicle development.

On 11 September, the Teatro Regio will host the second edition of the TADA – Torino Automotive Design Award, an international award dedicated to style, innovation and research in the automotive sector.

The initiative aims in particular to strengthen dialogue between Europe and China and confirms Turin’s role as one of the international centres of automotive design.

The Supercar Meeting Between Venaria and Turin

On Saturday 12 September, the Supercar Meeting Venaria Reale – Torino will also return.

Supercars, hypercars and other exclusive vehicles from across Italy will depart from the Reggia di Venaria and make their way into central Turin.

The event combines a passion for cars with the opportunity to discover one of Piedmont’s most important historical and architectural landmarks.

A Weekend to Discover Turin

One of the distinctive features of the Turin Auto Show is that it takes place right in the heart of the city.

Between exhibitions, visitors can easily explore some of Turin’s main attractions, walk beneath the arcades of Piazza Castello, visit the Royal Museums or continue towards Piazza San Carlo and the historic centre.

Those staying for a few extra days can also spend time in Valentino Park, enjoy walks along the River Po and explore the neighbourhoods between the city centre and Turin’s hillside area.

Where to Stay in Turin During the Auto Show

For visitors looking for an apartment in Turin during the Auto Show weekend, Heimat offers a roughly 80 sqm three-room apartment in the city’s hillside area, in a quiet location with convenient transport connections.

The apartment features two bedrooms and accommodation for up to four guests, a living room with kitchen, balconies on two sides, high-speed fibre Wi-Fi, a fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, coffee machine, kettle and hairdryer.

Its location is convenient for reaching Valentino Park, the riverside promenade and Carducci Metro station, as well as the Molinette, CTO, Sant’Anna and Regina Margherita hospitals.

It can therefore be a practical option for couples, families or small groups who want to enjoy the Auto Show while also discovering Turin at a more relaxed pace.
